CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES * SUNDAY 24th MAY 9AM - 4.30PM Learn a valuable new skill and discover just how achievable it is to make your own clothes in this relaxed and confidence-building sewing workshop. This session is designed to show you that with the right guidance, anyone can learn to sew and create garments they’re proud to wear. During the workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step as you make your own cami top. A simple, stylish piece that’s perfect for building your garment-making skills. Along the way, you’ll gain practical techniques that you can continue using at home on future projects. You’ll learn essential garment-making techniques while enjoying a relaxed, supportive environment. You’ll learn how to: - Read a sewing pattern & measure your body - cut out a sewing pattern and fabric - sew and finish seams for a professional look - sew spaghetti straps & facings - hem for a neat finish. Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - Anyone that can use a sewing machine (if you haven’t, please book onto my ‘Sew it begins’ workshop - Beginners - Anyone looking to start sewing their own clothes - Adults (under-16s will need to book onto the workshop with a paying adult). What’s included? - Ogden Cami Sewing pattern for you to keep (Sizes 0 - 30 - worth £18) - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - use of sewing machines, tools and equipment - tea, coffee and soft drinks What do you need to bring? - Fabric and matching thread (I will provide fabric recommendations) Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
