CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES * SUNDAY 25th OCTOBER 10AM - 2.30PM Ever wanted to make your own curtains but didn't know where to start? This relaxed and practical sewing workshop will show you just how achievable it is to create beautiful curtains yourself. During the session, you'll be guided step-by-step through the process of making your own curtain, from measuring and cutting your fabric through to sewing and finishing your sample curtain ready to recreate at home. You'll learn useful sewing and curtain-making skills that you can continue to use for future projects, giving you the confidence to make curtains for different rooms in your home, rather than having to buy them ready-made. This is sewing at a gentle, unhurried pace, no rushing, no pressure, just time to learn, practise and enjoy the satisfaction of creating something completely from scratch. You'll learn how to: - Measure your window and calculate the fabric you'll need - Prepare and cut your curtain fabric accurately - Create neat hems and professional-looking finishes - Sew Mitered corners - Sew pencil pleat heading tape - Add lining for a better finish - Tips and techniques you can use to make curtains at home.
