CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES * SUNDAY 19th JULY 9AM - 5PM * SUNDAY 9th AUGUST 9AM - 5PM Learn the skills to create clothing that's uniquely yours in this inspiring and confidence-building sewing workshop. Whether you've always dreamed of making your own clothes or are looking to take the next step in your sewing journey, this workshop will show you just how achievable it can be. During the session, you'll create a garment tailored to your personal style. Choose between a flattering V-neck or round neckline, then decide whether you'd like to make a top, mini dress, midi dress, or full-length dress. The result is a handmade piece that's designed by you, for you. This is sewing at a gentle, unhurried pace, with expert guidance throughout - no rushing, no pressure, just time to enjoy the creative process and gain the skills to make your own clothes with confidence. You’ll learn how to: - Read a sewing pattern & measure your body - cut out a sewing pattern and fabric - sew and finish seams for a professional look - sew straps & facings - hem for a neat finish. Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - Anyone that can use a sewing machine (if you haven’t, please book onto my ‘Sew it begins’ workshop - Beginners - Anyone looking to start sewing their own clothes - Adults (under-16s will need to book onto the workshop with a paying adult). What’s included? - Sewing pattern for you to keep (Sizes 4 - 30 - worth £18) - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - use of sewing machines, tools and equipment - tea, coffee and soft drinks What do you need to bring? Your chosen fabric and matching thread. Fabric requirements and recommendations will be provided after booking. Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
