CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES * SATURDAY 4TH APRIL 9AM - 12PM Slow down, get creative, and enjoy a beautifully hands-on sewing session with a seasonal twist. This thoughtfully designed workshop is perfect for anyone who loves crafting with purpose and would like to create something truly unique for their home this Easter. During the workshop, you’ll upcycle a pair of your old jeans into a charming bunny design, which you’ll then appliqué onto fabric to create a gorgeous Easter-themed cushion. A lovely blend of creativity, sewing skills, sustainability and a keepsake decoration you’ll be proud to display. This is sewing at a gentle, unhurried pace, with expert guidance throughout. No rushing, no pressure, just time to enjoy the process and the pleasure of turning something old into something special. You’ll learn how to: - How to cut and prepare denim for appliqué - Appliqué techniques to attach your bunny design neatly - Use a sewing machine with confidence - Sew a cushion cover from start to finish - Finish your project with clean, professional details. Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - all skill levels - anyone looking for a seasonal sew - adults and (under 16’s will need to book onto the course with a paying adult). Class Includes: - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - All materials and tools (fabric, thread, sewing machines etc.) apart from jeans - cushion pad - tea, coffee and soft drinks. What do you need to bring? - A pair of jeans - 1 metre fabric (if you want to bring your own style or have a fully upcycled project, otherwise this is provided) Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
