CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES * SUNDAY 19TH APRIL 9AM - !2PM * SUNDAY 17TH MAY 9AM - 12PM Slow down, learn a useful new skill, and give your wardrobe a second life in this calm and practical sewing workshop. This thoughtfully designed session is perfect for anyone who would love to feel more confident repairing and altering their own clothes in a relaxed, supportive environment. During the workshop, you’ll learn the essential techniques needed to carry out simple clothing repairs and basic alterations, from shortening hems and fixing seams to replacing buttons. These are skills you’ll use again and again at home. You’ll learn how to: - Shorten hems neatly (trousers, skirts and dresses) - Repair seams - Replace buttons - Finish to a clean and professional standard. Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - beginners - anyone looking to repair and alter their clothes - adults and (under 16’s will need to book onto the course with a paying adult). Class Includes: - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - All materials and tools (fabric, thread, sewing machines etc.) - tea, coffee and soft drinks. What do you need to bring? Just yourself! Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
