In this hands-on session, you’ll learn the basics of how to use a sewing machine and create a tote bag to take home. You’ll learn how to: - thread a sewing machine - understand the different components of a machine - sew a straight stitch and zig zag stitch - sew pieces of fabric together - finish the fabric neatly. This class will teach you the basics of a sewing machine. After attending this workshop you’ll be able to book onto any of our other workshops. Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - absolute beginners - anyone looking for a new skill or hobby - adults and (under 16’s will need to book onto the course with a paying adult). Class Includes: - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - All materials and tools (fabric, thread, needles, sewing machines etc.) - tea, coffee and soft drinks. What do you need to bring? Just yourself! Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
