CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES: SUNDAY 14TH JUNE 1PM - 4PM During the workshop, you’ll be guided step-by-step as you design and sew your own summer-inspired cushion cover using bright, cheerful fabrics perfect for the season. As part of the class, you’ll also learn how to sew in a zip, giving your cushion a polished, professional finish and helping you build confidence with an essential sewing skill. Whether styled for a garden room, bedroom, conservatory, or outdoor entertaining space, your finished cushion will add a lovely handmade touch to your home. This is sewing at a gentle, unhurried pace, with expert guidance throughout, no rushing, no pressure, just time to enjoy the process, learn something new, and create something beautiful. You’ll learn how to: Measure and cut fabric accurately How to insert a zip neatly into a cushion cover Sew neat seams and corners Construct a cushion cover from start to finish Finish techniques for a clean, professional result Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - Beginners - Anyone looking to know how to sew zips - Adults (under-16s will need to book onto the workshop with a paying adult). What’s included? - Fabric - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - use of sewing machines, tools and equipment - tea, coffee and soft drinks What do you need to bring? Just bring yourself, unless you’d like to add your own personal style to the workshop. In that case please bring 1 metre of fabric and matching thread. (I can provide fabric recommendations if needed). Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
