CURRENT WORKSHOP DATES * SUNDAY 29th MARCH 10AM - 5PM If you’re new to garment making, our top workshop is the perfect place to start. With no fiddly fastenings, a relaxed fit and a modern silhouette, this is a great beginner-friendly project that will leave you with a wearable handmade piece to be proud of. You’ll learn how to: - cut fabric and work with a sewing pattern - sew and finish seams for a professional look - make a facing for a neat neckline. Who can join? This workshop is perfect for: - confident beginners who are comfortable using a sewing machine - anyone looking to start sewing their own clothes - adults (under-16s will need to book onto the course with a paying adult). If you would like to attend this course but have no sewing machine experience, we recommend booking on to our ‘Sew it begins’ workshop first. What’s included? - expert guidance from an experienced sewing instructor - use of sewing machines, tools and equipment - tea, coffee and soft drinks. - Tilly & the Buttons Samara top sewing Pattern (from size 6 to 34) What do you need to bring? To create your Top, you’ll need to bring: - your own fabric - matching thread. If you're not sure what fabric to choose, don’t worry. We’ll send you all the details to advise you once you’re booked on. Location and accessibility Our workshops take place at Furtho Manor Farm, Milton Keynes (MK19 6NR), a beautiful, modern space with peaceful views of the countryside. Easy to reach: Just 13 minutes from Milton Keynes city centre and 23 minutes from Northampton. Free parking right outside the workshop space. Fully accessible: Ground floor venue with no stairs and a disabled bathroom.
